Taita Hills Saltlick Lodge; Salt Lick Game Lodge is inside Tsavo West National Park in Kenya. The entire lodge is on high stilts above watering holes and feeding pastures. Mara Sopa Lodge; Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their center. Masai Mara Sopa Guests are drawn to the ethnic design of this Lodge, which itself is surrounded by a landscape rich in flora, from wild olive, bitter aloe vera, croton and Mexican trees. One full day spent in the Mara Triangle Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Elephant and Buffalo abound in the riverine forests, while out on the grasslands Impala and Thompson's gazelle can be seen together with their attendant predators such as lion, Cheetah, Hyena and Jackal. The Mara is, in fact, the northern part of the Serengeti ecosystem and plays host to the vast herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra during the months of July to October. Lesser-known species such as topi, hartebeest, waterbuck Eland and many small mammals create a kaleidoscopic picture of wildlife. All meals and overnight stay will be at Mara pride inn camp, Mara Loyk Camp or Mara Sopa Lodge.
