Day 1: Arrival Nairobi

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will clear with immigration and customs desk and exit to the arrival hall where you will meet your Advantage Holidays  representative for transfer to your Hotel.

Overnight at Tamarind Tree Hotel or similar – BB

Day 2: Sirimon to the Bandas

After a short briefing check out and drive to  to Mount Kenya area via Nanyuki town 4 to 5hours.

Pick your porters and guide and start the climb via Sirimon route on the North West of the mountain, drop off by the car at the forest edge, and make a walk of 2 to 3 hours (8 kilometers) with picnic lunch to Sirimon Park gate, arrive at the Park gate Bandas and after a cup of coffee, the group can acclimatize with a forest walk and return for overnight at Sirimon Park Gate Bandas.

Day 3: Sirimon Park Gate Bandas to Old Moses and Acclimatize to Likiii North

After breakfast, start a 3 hour hike to Old Moses Camp 3300meters. After lunch hike for 3 hours up to Likii North for afternoon acclimatization and later return to Old Moses for the night.

Day 4: Old Moses  3300Meters  To  Shiptons Camp 4200Meters

Early morning breakfast and thereafter start the walk to Shipton’s camp.  The walk takes 5 hours with a scenic view of the peak Nelion and Batian through Mackinder’s Valley with picnic lunch on the way.  Arrive Shipton’s camp 4200m in the early afternoon for a short rest followed by dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Attempt Point Lenana and Descent to Meru Bandas

Early morning at 2.00 am wake up and attempt point Lenana , the walk to Point Lenana 4985m takes 3-4 hours depending on individuals pace.  Later on descend for 2 hours to Mintos/Hall Tarn area for breakfast and then descend ( 5hours) through Chogoria route to Meru Bandas with picnic lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Meru Bandas.

Day 6: Meru Bandas –Descend 

A relaxed morning and after breakfast, descend through the forest and meet with the car half way, drive to Nairobi via Chogoria and Embu Town with lunch on the way and arrive in the afternoon.

Drop off at JKIA for your flight back home.
